Festival Season Back Again!

Great to see so many people out & about again for (in this case) the first Haymaking Festival since 2019. Huge turnout on what stayed a lovely, dry day.

Very happy to volunteer alongside fellow and past board members and several of the current team, including Justyna our fantastic Coordinator, for an hour with the wonderful Trim Family Resource Centre that covers the whole south Meath area. Joining them was Trim Men’s Shed and Trim Sustainable Energy Community whose community event & energy workshop is on June 28th Tuesday in Trim G.A.A.

Delighted also that the many, many hours of hanging up the washing, putting out the bins (mental note, don’t forget again to put the waste bin out tomorrow night), mowing the lawn & jumping through hoops paid off with a 2nd place in the Father’s Day competition. The 1 minute and 20 seconds break from the kids and the hugely entertaining commentary from the inimitable Willie Fay, who looks like he is reminding me about the bins on Tuesday, was worth the entry fee alone.

We even got to see the Ras Tailteann flash by on the way in!

If you missed out on such family days, they will continue throughout the summer, with Enfield Family Day on Sunday, up next.
