Healthy Food Made Easy is a 6 week healthy food and cooking course for adults. It is based around the Food Pyramid, what each level contains and why it is an important part of a balanced diet. During the 6 weeks participants will prepare and cook 2 recipes per session with the information in the session relevant to what’s being cooked that day (e.g. cooking a high fibre meal at the session discussing fibre). There is also a focus on eating on a budget and tips around shopping to get the most value and how to plan ahead. Each session last roughly 3 hours. There is a visit from a dietitian from the HSE toward the end of the course who will give a short presentation and answer questions. There is no cost as HFME is HSE funded.
