Recovery Programmes

Supporting, technics, and Wellness plans to aid the road to recovery.
WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) – A 16-hour workshop spread over 4 mornings to help you to prepare a wellness recovery plan for yourself and to share with others that can help you stay on your path to good mental health.
Taking Control. The Shine ‘Taking Control’ Workshop is a gentle one-day workshop which explores practical ways to face life challenges, whilst maintaining and taking control of your physical and mental wellbeing. The course offers a safe place for people to reassess where they are and where they want to be.
Finding My Way. is a Recovery Programme co-produced by people in Recovery and Shine. It is a peer led course, requiring just two hours a week for 8 weeks.

Mindfulness and Self Esteem.

Development and balance your life skills, through Mindfulness, Meditation and Healing with a range of mindfulness, Self-esteem and light activity sessions which include; First Steps to a new You. Singing for Wellbeing. Positive Mindfulness Line up and Dance. Pendulum Healing. Crafting workshops. Garden Group

The group meets up every Monday at 11am in FRC to work together on the vegetable and flower garden. The group share garden tips and a cup of tea. If you would like to get involved with this group come along any Monday or contact the FRC office.

Community get-togethers

We look forward to inviting you to join us for our Community Breakfasts, Community Lunches and Coffee and Cake events where we share information about our upcoming activities and events. We also look forward to hearing about what’s been happening in your world since we last spoke! Walk & Talk / Stroll for your Soul

We meet up at 9.45am on Tuesday mornings (COVID permitting) at the Church Car Park to go for a walk around the fantastic town of Trim. We learn from each other about Trim and the nature that surrounds us. Get Healthy both mentally and physically. To find out more call 046 9438850

Support Groups

We host and run various different Mental Health Support groups these include
Grow: a mental health awareness support group, come and join our weekly meetings (on-line at present) which are held in a relaxed environment. Listen, Observe. Learn to live with a road map to recovery and be inspired to share your story when ready. Be encouraged, supported and make true friends on your journey.
Suicide Awareness programmes: To raise awareness for the prevention of suicide, by exploring options, informing, educating, supporting and safety planning through
Safe Talk - A Suicide Awareness programme ran by the HSE. Learn and practice powerful, life-saving skills in just 4 hours.
ASSIST - (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a two-day skills building workshop in suicide first aid. Participants are trained to reduce the immediate risk of a suicide and increase the support for a person at risk.
