Trim FRC Community Food Bank is run by Trim Family Resource Centre staff and volunteers. Food is donated by local food producers and retailers and is then available to members of the Trim & South Meath community who register their interest.
How does it work?
Members of the community register their interest by dropping into the Resource Centre or calling: 087-6602088 [we just need your contact details and the number of people in your family]. Each person who registers is assigned one or two collection days in the week. On the assigned day a text is sent out to recipients to notify them that the food is available to be picked up. Availability and quantity of food available is dependent on donations on the day and contents may vary. Collections take place at the RIGHT rear of Trim FRC at 15 Wellington Avenue, Trim, C15 FC03.
In partnership with Food Cloud and Neighbourly and thanks to Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Dunne Stores and M&S

The FEAD programme is an EU-wide initiative to help support people take their first steps out of poverty and social exclusion. 85% of the funding comes from the EU with the balance of funding coming from the Irish Exchequer.
The Department of Social Protection is the Managing Authority for FEAD in Ireland.
Our charity benefits from food assistance. The FEAD programme provides non-perishable food via their charity partners to families and individuals in need. Food supplied consist of breakfast cereals, rice, pasta and pasta sauce, soups, tinned fish, jam, tea, coffee, sugar, and tinned vegetables and fruit. The food items are easy to transport and store.
Our charity also benefits from material assistance under the FEAD Programme. The programme provides school stationary kits to children who are being supported by FEAD food assistance in both national and secondary schools.
