Beacon Project

Family Support in Trim FRC The saying goes “it takes a village to raise a child” and this has its basis in truth – the wider support from grandparents, extended family and friends is hugely beneficial to a family. What happens though if you have no “village”? Or if your family’s difficulties become just too difficult to cope with? This is where
Family Support may be able to help. Under the via our Community Beacon Family Support Project, our part time Family Support Worker works on a one to one basis with families, to help them cope with a wide variety of issues, including parenting, budgeting, difficulties with school and accessing services. Services such as the GP or school can make a referral for a family or a parent can do so themselves. Trim FRC also offers informal, family support Development worker.
